Romans 5: 3 – 5 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And hope will not lead to disappointment. This morning my hubby, Kenny is really struggling with pain. He is in the other room as I write this enduring his pain. I do believe that endurance develops a strong character and that character strengthens our hope of salvation. I witness daily Kenny take one step and then another and most are not without pain. He struggles with very bad back pain, but he doesn't complain to most people. Most people never realize just how badly he hurts. On the other hand, I watch him when he lets his guard down…when he struggles to get out of the bed every day, when he struggles to move from room to room. He endures and hangs to hope that one day it will not hurt and I see him grow through the process. Study of this scripture gave me the imagery of it being like a linked chain and that one link leads to another link…So, we have a problem or trial, we endure, endurance leads to stronger character..character to confident hope of salvation. Hope will not lead to disappointment… Cling to the chain…endure..hope …All because of what Christ did for me and for you! Clinging, Debbie

Debbie, I like the imagery you used of the links in a chain. We sure don't like to go through trials, do we? But we see here in the Word that trials serve a purpose in our lives, huh.
Praying for Kenny and for you.
