Psalm 121 ~ I lift my eyes to the hills~where does my help come from? My help comes for the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip~he who watches over you will not slumber;
Indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord watches over you~ the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
The LORD will keep you from all harm~he will watch over your life;
the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
It is so true! I love this Psalm and this morning sitting on my porch looking at His Word and honestly sharing with the LORD my feelings, the tears began to flow when I looked out at His creation surrounding me whether it was the mountains, the animals, the water, even myself He is beyond our understanding and I thank Him for being just that Big!
I don't have to understand; I just have to believe His Word and I do. I feel Him so much here and I poured my heart out that it hurt my soul that I allow myself when I am in my everyday life at home that I forget to be so intense with spending time with Him. I make time, but I am not so aware. It's like I know He is surrounding me and answering my prayers, but it is like I heard on the Message station today I go to the answering machine and punch Next Message.
It was my prayer that I stay alert to Him daily. I want to ask first thing every morning Lord make me aware of your desires for the day and please don't let me miss a moment with you! I fail Lord, but please help me to become more and more like Jesus. Show me the path and help me put one foot in front of the other.
Amen
Indeed, I lift my eyes and my help to get through each day comes from Our Lord.
Sweet blessings,
Debbie
