Saturday morning fun...

 Well, a few carrots anyone?

Beautiful sunflowers for the soul!

Fresh veggies anyone?  Tomatoes? Peppers?

More beautiful sunflowers...

How about a crowd of people on a really hot Saturday morning and it's before 8:00

More of the beautiful food

Huge watermelons...

The railroad bridge on the way to the car with all my goodies. Oh I forgot to mention the red velvet moon pies are delicious ...I didn't take a picture for evidence, but take my word they are good!

Some of the beautiful flowers and surprises for Kenny.

Now for time with God's Word in Psalms, a cold diet coke with flowers.  Nothing better on a Saturday morning taking it all in on the patio...
My partners in crime always!  JJ and Annie love to be with me while I study God's Word, so they sit patiently in the chair beside me.

Some beautiful verses from Psalm 65 reminding all of us of exactly who God truly is ~
You answer us with awesome deeds of righteousness, O God our Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas, who formed the mountains by your power, having armed yourself with strength, who stilled the roaring seas, the roaring of their waves, and the turmoil of the nations.
Those living far away fear your wonders; where morning dawns and evening fades your call forth songs of joy.
You care for the land and water it;
you enrich it abundantly.

Yes, my morning at the farmers market reminds me of God's blessings of providing abundantly for all of us!  Thank you LORD!

Happy Saturday,
Debbie

Enthralled by...

I am studying the Psalms and loving every moment of it.  Over and over I am reminded of who God is and what He does...

He delivers...

He protects and preserves...

He blesses...

He sustains....

He restores...

He has mercy....

He heals... and that is just a few! I was reminded of this morning in Psalm 41, but in Psalm 45 this verse touched me deeply especially after looking at the original Hebrew meaning.

Psalm 45:11
The king is enthralled by your beauty, honor him for he is your lord.

Enthralled in the original Hebrew meaning means wait longingly and after really studying the verse it means that God will wait longingly for us to become through Him who we are desired to be!  He waits while he turns our insides out and makes them beautiful!  He gives us beauty and He waits while the ugly turns pretty, so we will then honor Him by worship and praise of who He is...

God is so good!  Over and over we are told of God's awesome, amazing love by what HE DOES, not what we do.  He does it all and even turns ugly into beauty along the way!

I love you LORD for all that you are and for turning my ugly into your beauty!

Best make up lesson ever!

Let's let God make us over!

Sweet blessings,
Debbie

Who can point a finger?

I begin this posting with the words - YES IT WAS WRONG!  Paula Deen was wrong, but then I ask who hasn't messed up and hurt someone else in your life?  Well for those of you that raised your hand or said me; you better take a good look in the mirror.  Every last one of us that are human have messed up in maybe not the exact way that Paula Deen did, but in a similar situation.  We have hurt others with our words in some way.  Yes, words can be very ugly, they can cut someone to the core of who they are and it is definitely wrong, but have you not used words in a wrong way?  I know I have.  I've hurt others and at times didn't even realize it!  I was wrong!  I admit it and I needed forgiveness.

It reminded me of the story found in John 8 where the woman is brought or should I say thrown before Jesus in the temple court.  The people that brought her threw her down and demanded that Jesus say she needed to be stoned for adultery.  Jesus knew it was a trap for him and they were using this woman for something else.  They were trying to catch Jesus.  They were trying to mess Him up to trap Him, but he silently bent down and started writing in the sand with his finger.  Picture this for yourself.  A crowd of judgmental people trying to make Jesus do something, a woman standing before Him and a crowd in a very horrible situation and a crowd a buzz about how it was all going to work out.  Don't you picture them pointing fingers?  A little giggling here and there, and the haughty looks down their noses at the woman and then at each other?  Come on picture it.  We've witnessed things like this situation in our own life.

Quietly Jesus just writes and then quietly looks up and says "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."  Wow, don't you know it got deathly quiet?  Not a pin dropping, not anyone willing to be all haughty now...after all, who among us hasn't sinned?

Why can't we offer compassion, forgiveness and allow God to handle the judgment?  Sin is sin.  My sin is just as wrong as your sin and the only way either of our sins is okay is by the blood of Jesus!  WE need to realize ALL of us are only forgiven for whatever our sin is by Jesus.

It's so sad to me that the world today rejoices in other's failures or mess ups rather than celebrate their success!  I love the old expression about pointing fingers and how to watch out it will come right back to you.  Don't remember exactly how it was stated, but something along that line!

John 8:10- 11~ Jesus offered these words to the woman left alone standing with Jesus.
"Woman, where are they?  Has no one condemned you?  "No one, sir," she said.
"then neither do I condemn you." Jesus declared, "Go now and leave your life of sin."

Thank you Jesus for the mercy that you show all of us!

Debbie

A view of the reminders lately of where I see the LORD!

Well these are my little partners on the back patio, while I have my quiet time.  (well they aren't so quiet) I am enjoying watching the process with the little family.  Wow, they have protective parents!  Whooshing in on me while I read God's Word is very interesting at times!

Lots of special JJ and Annie time...My sweet babies are getting even more attention and honestly this is not a good thing.  Spoiled already and more?  Kenny and Sadie are in panic mode...

One of my favorite sweet smells!  Love these ...

Pool time, reading, flowers, and my doggies what more could a girl want?  Nothing, absolutely nothing.

More of my pretty flowers.  My backyard is just a blooming garden and I am treasuring every moment before the heat gets unbearable!  I've been reminded over the last few weeks (even more) to treasure the quiet moments with the LORD!  I am studying the Psalms and these are a few of my favorite verses from Psalm 17: 6-8 that the LORD gave me especially at a moment I needed them most!  Don't you just love how He shows up when we need Him the most?
Psalm 17: 6-8
I call on you, O God, for you will answer me; give ear to me and hear my prayer.  Show the wonder of your great love, you who save by your right hand those who take refuge in you from their foes.  Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings...
Indeed take refuge in the shadow of His protection.  Treasure your special moments and share them with anybody that will listen.  Our LORD hears our prayers!  Do you get it?  He listens, He cares, He loves and He provides.

Sweet blessings,
Debbie
