Tapestry of love

Colossians 2:2
The Message (MSG)
2-4I want you woven into a tapestry of love, in touch with everything there is to know of God. Then you will have minds confident and at rest, focused on Christ, God's great mystery. All the richest treasures of wisdom and knowledge are embedded in that mystery and nowhere else. And we've been shown the mystery! I'm telling you this because I don't want anyone leading you off on some wild-goose chase, after other so-called mysteries, or "the Secret."
Yesterday was such a mixed bag of emotions.  Waking up early I turned on the news to the devastation felt across the west with the wildfires and I was immediately taken back to several years ago the devastation I felt as my home was on fire.  The news was playing a young woman and tears were rolling down her cheeks as she just poured out her true feelings of loss of her home, her comfortable that was now gone.
Our homes are often times our centering place, our place to be real, our place to cry like there is no tomorrow and feel safe and now this place is gone.  I knew this woman’s heart and I wanted so desperately to shout rest in the Lord’s lap!  He is holding you, He is guiding you, He is going to take you on the greatest adventure allow Him to take you!  The moments of heartbreak the Lord will show us the most awesome adventures, if we allow Him the opportunity by letting go of the pain and giving it to Him.  The things we treasure whether material things, people, moments, He is the Only Eternal in the equation until we say Yes to join Him.  He is the Key to Open the door to the new adventures along the New Path He is weaving into the future.
I don’t know what any of you face today, but the only treasure we need to cling to is Christ!  I remember the day of my fire; I went to bible study that evening to a lesson taught by Angela Thomas on the treasures we store up and what those might be, but God brought me to the scripture I am sharing with you today later during the journey away from my old way of thinking and the realization that He was and is my treasure!  We are able to proceed through the heartbreak of whatever it might be we face through the wisdom He brings to each of us.  Cling to Him on the good days and the bad days and indeed feel the peace of being woven into the tapestry of His amazing love!
Sweet blessings,
Debbie
