Hanging by a thread

Hanging by a thread, isn't very reassuring is it?

In today's reading Bildad a friend of Job's is giving one of his talks to him and these words were a part of the speech...
The same happens to all who forget God.  The hopes of the godless evaporate.
Their confidence hangs by a thread.  They are leaning on a spider's web.

Well, the visual works!  Spider's webs and threads aren't very helpful.  So when we forget who God truly is...we aren't hanging on much.

The book of Job is filled with wise thoughts and reminders of who God is and was.  The friends try to be helpful and we have all been just like them at times.  (thinking we know a lot and being all helpful) but...Oh well, that is for another day.

My thought was forgetting God is just like hanging by a thread.  It will break and so will we.  Hang on His Truths and in constant relationship with Him and you will be holding on to a lot more than a thread.  You are believing and holding on to His amazing love for you.

Sweet blessings,
Debbie
