A Watchman

The job of watchman would be a lonely, difficult job!

Ezekiel is the only prophet called "watchman" and he had a very difficult task.  God gave him very specific instructions about warning people and to do it immediately. If he didn't follow specific instructions Ezekiel would be responsible for their deaths perhaps!  If Ezekiel did his part and they didn't follow the instructions it was on the people not Ezekiel.  Ezekiel was to watch out for the people's safety.

If you don't think Ezekiel had tough instructions read very carefully Ezekiel 4, for 390 days Ezekiel had to bear the sins of Israel.  Ezekiel was obedient.

Indeed, the job of watchman was a difficult job.
