Knocking

Matthew 6:5 - 7:29, Luke 6:46-49

One of my favorite passages about prayer is found in Matthew 7.

Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for.  Keep on seeking, and you will find.  Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone that asks, receives.  Everyone who seeks, finds.  And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.

I love this passage, but sometimes I think it confuses us when our prayers aren't answered.  (the way we expect)  God answers the prayer with the right answer that we need.  Even those difficult situations that we will all face at some point are not in vain ~ I believe they are to draw us closer and closer to Him.  God doesn't just answer the way we expect or with all the answers we desire, after all He is God and He is creative, He is unique, He is our Savior, He knows our needs, before we do...He is amazing, He is filled with adventure and so much more.  So even though we knock and the door is opened; we don't know how He will answer it!  We must believe and know that He gives us exactly what we need, when we need it and we must keep on knocking!

So keep knocking and have a fabulous weekend!

Sweet blessings,
Debbie
