Psalm 147 He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds. He counts the stars and calls them all by name. He sends the snow like white wool; he scatters frost upon the ground like ashes. He hurls the hail like stones. Who can stand against his freezing cold? Then, at his command, it all melts. He sends his winds, and the ice thaws. Creation! The awe of God's creation always boggles my little brain and this Psalm grasps all of it, so well! I love the imagery of God picking up the little pieces of our broken hearts and taking the time to bandage up the wounds for us. I love this! The Mighty Creator, Our Savior heals all those broken pieces of our life! His creation is amazing. Not only did He create the human, the animals, the mountains, the desert, the springs, the waters, .he created the snow, the frost, hail, etc and then He commands it all to go away. We know this, but it is so wonderful to be reminded of His Power. To know in our hearts that Our Savior thinks of something and it is. It exists, because it was an idea in His thoughts. God springs forth with the wonders of the world and with each of us. He indeed is Mighty! Yes, Praise the LORD! Let us Praise His Mighty Name! Praise the LORD! Sweet blessings, Debbie

Debbie, the main thing that I kept thinking of as I read the Psalms this morning was that no other gods/idols have done or can do the mighty works that the Living God does and has done! Yet people put their faith in such things or in nothing at all. How sad!
Think about Psalm 146:6, "He made heaven and earth, the sea and everything in them. HE KEEPS EVERY PROMISE FOREVER." How awesome is that?
Today just thrilled me. And then Psalm 148 calls all of creation to praise God. Praise Him from the heavens, the skies, his angels, all the armies of heaven, the sun and the moon, the twinkling stars, even the vapors high above the clouds! Let every created thing give praise to the Lord.... Praise the Lord from the earth, creatures of the ocean, fire and hail, snow and clouds, wind and weather, mountains and hills, fruit trees, etc.... Praise the Lord!
