Father, please return my sparkle

No writing today from our reading together.  Nope just a little bit more of being vulnerable among friends and being open and honest about where I am right now.

I'm tired.  Okay, I admitted it out loud and now I'm going to say more...I let myself get so busy that I'm missing a big part of who I am and this morning reading from the Proverbs 31 Magazine Wendy Pope's article spoke exactly what I've been feeling for months...

I've been busy, problems arose, people were hurting, I got tired and I ignored His whispers...My prayer is from the NLT Psalm 13:3 - "Restore the sparkle to my eye or I will die."  Don't get me wrong my physical health is fine, but my spiritual life is not where I want it to be or should be.  I'm missing God and it's not Him that moved away it's me.  He is still there pursuing me, calling me, holding me, but I've got myself so bound up that it's a challenge to hear Him!  I've been taking care of me and JOS and not my relationship with Jesus.  So, my prayer today is that my sparkle return to my eye.  I miss the time spent only with Him and so if you hear me say no more often that is why.  I am returning my priorities to the right order God #1 and that might mean less of being that yes girl to others.

So if I don't write here daily from the reading...Know I am reading, but it was for just the two of us...Know that I am working on Debbie and I will be back...I ask you to pray this prayer for me...Oh Lord, please restore the sparkle to my eye that only you give me...

I love you all,
Debbie

I will pray that for all of us. Lord, please restore the sparkle to our eyes that only you can give us. The needs around us are always great but may we be able to say no at times in order to always put our relationship with You first. Lord, please show us what can wait or what we need to let go of that keeps that sparkle from our eyes. We love You Lord!

Lord, please restore the SPARKLE to Debbie's eye that can only You can give her. Lord give her the strength to say "no" to the things that distract her from you and the strength to say "yes" to more intimate time with you. Lord give her inner peace as she communes with you. In Jesus' name, Amen.

What a brave thing to do!!!!!! I pray for your continued strength and wisdom to say no to anything that takes you away from our awesome God. The sparkle will return and be brighter than before as you have faced the hardest part..... the acknowledgement! Can't wait to see those pretty blue eyes shine with all His glory!
