Today, I loved the things that God showed me in the reading! Not that I don't everyday, but I did again today...
2 Timothy 2:20-21 caught my eye. Read it carefully and see what you think...
In a wealthy home some utensils are made of gold and silver, and some are made of wood and clay. The expensive ones are used for special occasions and the cheap ones are for everyday use. If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. I loved it that it is our choice to be a special utensil! We can be a like a good blender, or a good mixer, or a great cutting board...the list goes on and on and for women these things matter! Think about it! I did!
The first word that I had to look up the original meaning was utensil and in Greek it meant vessel. Vessel in greek is a metaphor for body. The next thing was for honorable use which meant preparing. I learned two interesting things here first the mind is being prepared to give the Messiah a fit reception and secure his blessing and the other is sometimes kings would send people ahead to prepare roads for him to pass. They would take the bumps out of the roads. Don't you love this? Our Messiah is trying to prepare our minds to take the bumps out of our roads! I love it!
We are being prepared! Allow Our Savior to use you! Become a special utensil for the kingdom! Help to take the bumps out of the road for others...
I have to say I love God's Word! Dig into it! Don't miss these special meanings!!!!
Sweet blessings,
Debbie

Debbie, that is interesting information that you shared with us today about utensil meaning vessel and vessel is a metaphor for body.
I was struck by what Paul said in 2Timothy 2:9 as he was chained like a criminal. He said, "But the Word of God cannot be chained." Isn't that true?
