Waiting patiently

Does your dog wait patiently for you to return home? The little one so happy their little tails wag, their tongues wag, and they jump happily around your feet? Do you realize that they love you so very much they would do anything they can for you?

Today, this picture caught my eye. The dog patiently waits for its master to return.

In our reading today from 2 Peter 3, we realize Our Savior waits patiently for our sake for us to get it together. The Lord isn't really being slow about his promise, as people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. Think about it God could have come a long time ago, but He continues to give all of us a chance to choose Him and get it right. He doesn't want things to be destroyed - not things us! He wants each of us to be new in the new heaven and earth He promises. So, He waits patiently for us to return to Him.

Next time you enter your home and your little doggie greets you so happily think of Our Savior waiting patiently waiting to greet you with love and joy!

Sweet blessings,
Debbie
