What shall we do?

Over the past several days the Lord gave me a passage to ponder and it really got me to thinking and I want to place it before you and ask you to share your thoughts with me please...

It is from Mark 15, when Jesus is standing before Pilate and Pilate states these words from verse 12 -
"What shall I do, then, with the one you call the king of the Jews?"
Pilate ask a very profound question and decided to reject him.

What about us?

When Jesus comes into our life the question should also be put to each of us?  What shall I do then with the one called the King of the Jews?  After all, we also make the choice to allow Jesus to totally change our world, go along quietly without much difference, reject totally...we have the same choice!

It hit me that here stood a man named Pilate that made the choice to satisfy the crowd.  Is satisfaction so important to all of us that we reject Jesus?

It is my prayer that we all allow Jesus to totally change our world and that everyone knows that we are satisfied, but only because of Jesus filling that satisfaction.  If we look to this world like the people begging Pilate and Pilate, himself satisfaction will never come to us.

So, I close asking you again -
What shall you do with the one called Jesus?

Sweet blessings,
Debbie

I love the comparison you made! It is true, we (I) make decisions everyday to please others without hesitation. I pray for forgiveness for not always putting Him first.

Yes indeed! What shall I do then with the one called Jesus!

That question is for every single person who hears the name of Jesus.
