Merely spoke!

The Lord merely spoke and the heavens were created! He breathed the word, and all the stars were born. He assigned the sea its boundaries and locked the oceans in vast reservoirs.

Let the world fear the Lord, and let everyone stand in awe of him. For when he spoke, the world began! It appeared at his command...What beautiful, truthful words from Psalm 33...it goes on in verse 12 to say...What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord, whose people he has chosen as his inheritance....do you think we still choose God as the leader of our nation? It worries me ...our founding fathers wanted to worship God with freedom and yet it is so different today...

Christians are made fun of on television, the press ridicules, the people are definitely divided on this topic and truly I think we (the U.S.) have forgotten who is really in charge of this world. God is stronger. God saves us ...it's not our leaders. Don't get me wrong I think our leaders deserve respect and our prayers, but only place your trust in God. We should trust and hide in His mighty fortress.

In closing today, lift prayers for our country to remember who only had to speak for all of life to come to earth. He opened his mouth and something happened with merely a word! Remember, our hope must rest in God alone.

Hoping,

Debbie, the picture this morning is so beautiful. I know that you try to choose just the right picture to go with the message and I thank you for the effort that you put into to doing so. I am sure that many are blessed through it each day.

You described Psalm 33 as beautiful and truthful and boy, do I agree. I encourage anyone who hasn't read it yet to do so. It will remind you of what a great Lord we serve. Praying that I keep my hope where it belongs today.
