Hope

Ezra 10: 2

But in spite of this there is hope..

I love this verse. In spite, of ourselves we always have hope!

Hope is defined in to feel something may happen or to believe desire or trust it will happen. Hope is something we all desire ~ definitely, believe ~ we all want to, trust ~ we try!

Show me a person that doesn't desire to have hope in their life and you will find a sad person. Sadness sets in when we lose the desire for something more. When we lose sight of what we believe in or have the trust that it will happen.

After all the Israelites had done they still had hope!

I love the Emily Dickinson quote ~

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul.
And sings the tune
Without the words,
and never stops at all.

Emily Dickinson
US poet (1830 - 1886)

Trusting in always having hope,

Debbie

That Emily Dickinson quote is one of my very favorites and this morning, I found another defintion of "hope" that I love:
HOPE --- "God, there is something in the heavens; let it reach me."
-(translation of the Adinrka symbol)

Debbie, reading your blog is just part of my daily routine now. I am grateful for the thoughts and scripture that you share with us. I think that others are reading and I am HOPING that they will jump in and share their thoughts with us that we might encourage and learn from one another.

Starting the day off with a little HOPE is a great way to start the day! How would we make it through the trials of life without HOPE?

Linda, there I am HOPING that others will share and I am blessed with that beautiful definition of HOPE that you shared. Thank you!
