Then God said, "I am El-Shaddai-God Almighty"

Indeed ~ God Almighty!

Today's reading was Genesis 32 - 35.

Do you have a special place that without a doubt you know God shows up?  I do and it's shown in the photo above.  Don't get me wrong He shows up everywhere, but I don't seem to notice as much as I do in the mountains of Colorado.  I know that is why I cherish the days I am blessed with being surrounded by El-Shaddai and the beauty that only HE CREATED and CREATES!

Today's readings were so much about exactly that...God showing up to speak to Jacob ~ Israel.  When Jacob left on his way we are told he is met by angels of God and Jacob got so excited he proclaimed, "This is God's camp!"  I do similiar things.  I ride down the rode in single digit temps with the windows down, praise music blaring, and shouting to the LORD.  Yes, for those of you that know I am pretty quiet...not here in this special place.  I am praising the LORD with all my might...just ask Sadie! (our border collie)  I glance over at her sometimes and she is like ~ where did my mommy go?  It's okay, she is adjusting to our special time in Colorado and loves it too!

Over and over, Jacob is praying and talking with God.  God shows up!  Do we?  

Those special places that we know without a doubt God Almighty shows up, only God?  It is my prayer that everyone reading indeed does have a special place you know God is there with you.  I hope and pray it is everywhere, because indeed He is...

Today and everyday look and listen for El-Shaddai ~ God Almighty!
