Leaning on a spider web?

Job 8 - 11

Well, I have to ask how is leaning on a spider web working for you?  In the photo above it looks pretty fragile to me.  Doesn't look like it would hold up anybody that weights well almost nothing...

Today's reading reminded me of the question, where do we each look for the hope we all need to get through each day?  Well, where do you look?

In Job 8:  11-14, was a beautiful image of what happens when we forget God...

"Can papyrus reeds grow tall without a marsh?
Can marsh grass flourish without water?
While they are still flowering, not ready to cut,
they begin to wither more quickly than grass.
The same happens to all who forget God.
the hopes of the godless evaporate.
Their confidence hangs by a thread.
They are leaning on a spider's web.

Well, the photo grasp one of the sights that brings me hope daily...The Sun.  It rises and it sets everyday and God placed it there.  The web will not last.  Someone or something comes along and in a second it's gone.  It is woven and beautiful for a fleeting time period, but not lasting.

Today, look to things that remind you of who God is...the everlasting great I AM.

Sweet blessings,
Debbie

According to that verse it sounds as though our country and world is in big trouble! Leaning on a spider web is worth nothing!
