Always and forever

Job 20: 4-5

Don't you realize that from the beginning of time, ever since people were first placed on the earth, the triumph of the wicked has been short lived and the joy of the godless has been only temporary?

Temporary.

Huge word meaning it will not last. The wicked triumph is temporary it will not last.

Our triumph through Christ Jesus is eternal. Do we truly understand?

It isn't like the picture that the ocean will wash away…

It isn't anything we do and it isn't temporary.

Jesus.

Jesus blood gave me eternal life. Nothing temporary that will be blown away by the latest storm, nothing that the ocean will wash away it is everlasting…always…forever...do we realize?

Slowly realizing,

Debbie

Debbie,I think that if we truly understood how temporary this life and eveything in it is, we would place more importance on what is eternal. Realizing with you!

Today, Job is speaking out about the treatment he is getting from his friends. He says in Genesis 19:2-3 that they are crushing him with their words and treating him so badly. It hurts to find out that the very people you thought knew you so well don't seem to know you at all.

Here are a couple of verses that got my attention today. In Job 19:23, Job is wishing that his words could be recorded, perhaps carved in a rock. They were recorded alright. Little did he know that they would be in the Bible.

Job says, "I know that my Redeemer lives" in verse 25 and goes on to say that he is overwhelmed at the thought of seeing Him with his own eyes one day. I loved that passage of hope. One day we will see Him!
