Genesis 18 - 21:1-7
Throughout the reading for January 6 I kept being touched by the instances the God indeed listens...
We think we are battling situations alone, but we aren't He is right there listening and responding. I think perhaps we just ignore His guidance, or perhaps laugh like Sarah did thinking how?
We find that the LORD was listening as Sarah laughed, He was listening as Abram interceded for Sodom and even the one, we find the LORD cares for all of us even the one. He sent angels to get Lot and his family out. Mercy was shown and yet we have Lot's wife looking back. What? Looking back? Don't we all ask this question reading this story and yet don't we look back knowing it isn't good for us? Think about it a minute...
The most touching words to me are in Genesis 21:1 ~ "The LORD kept his word and did for Sarah exactly what He had promised." I cling to these words that indeed the LORD keeps His Word to each of us. Cling to this and know in your heart that this is truth!
Clinging to God's Truth,
Debbie
