Instructions for sons, gateskeepers, and others

I typed in Gateskeeper pictures and the beautiful butterfly came up. It is a gateskeeper butterfly and nothing is more appropriate to me for this writing today.
We will change after we get to know God.

David was being so detailed by lining out everybody's duties..gateskeepers, treasurers, other officials, military leaders and other officials. The cool part was that God gave David the plans for the Kingdom. In 1 Chronicles 28: it states that God told David he would not build the temple, due to the blood on his hands. I thought that is kinda of sad, afterall it was battles God instructed David to fight.

It doesn't matter, does it? God does have plans for each of us and building the temple was not his plan for David. He did give instructions to David about the temple with all the supply needs. So neat, he let him be a part of the plans for the temple.

Today's reading was so special because David instructed his son, Solomon on the temple but more important his relationship with God. Look at 1 Chronicles about verse 9, learn to know God intimately, Worship and serve him with your whole heart and a willing mind. For the Lord sees your heart and knows your every plan and thought. If you seek him, you will find him. I love this scripture...isn't it true?

I love this and think all parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, friends of kids should share this early with kids. Isn't God your best friend? Isn't He the one you take your problems to? If not, He should be. He is the only one that knows the big picture right? Why aren't we teaching our kids early about this special friendship with Our Father? Wouldn't it make their life easier? It does ours after all.

David goes on to tell Solomon and the other leaders that God gave him all of these instructions in writing from the hand of the Lord. (v. 19) Wow, can you imagine knowing God like that? David goes on to tell us to be strong and courageous and do the work. Don't be afraid or discouraged for the Lord is with us.

David, the man with God's loved so much, that failed just like we do. He sinned and asked for forgivesness, God forgave him and stayed with him. He knew God never left him and it was a fact. He doesn't leave us either and yes he does have plans for you, so get to know Him intimately. Talk with, walk with Him and let Him give you His thoughts and plans for you. It is like a peace you can't imagine...

Peacefully trying to listen, (sometimes I get in the way)
Debbie
