Monumental Moments

Remember when you were a little girl those moments you will never forget? The first day of school, the first time you won an award, the play where you got a part, the first kiss? Well, I do. They were big moments that you wanted to share. I remember running in after I had my first kiss the whole family was having dinner and I come running in the house "He kissed me, he kissed me." Words my dad wishes that I wouldn't share with him, but maybe with everybody else. No seriously, I'll never forget it I had a big moment in my life and I had to share it!

Well, Sam had that moment in John 4:28 -30..Sam was so excited that she ran off without her water jar, ran back into town and shared with the people, "Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this man be the Christ?" They came out of town and made their way toward Him. Don't you feel the hustle and bustle of the crowd hurriedly making their way out to check this man out? Picture Sam so proud in the background that she was the one that Christ picked to spend time with and to let her know that He knew her and loved her. She was the one to get to share the word about him with others. He picked her. A monumental moment! The woman shunned by everybody, but Christ! Don't you feel the excitement in her heart and the smile that must have been so huge across that beautiful face?

Christ picked me and I have to tell about Him with all the others...I have to run and shout and jump and I don't have to hide my face anymore. I get to run with the others to see Our Christ. I just feel the joy and the stepping high in her walk!

What about you? Did you share your monumental moment with others? Why is it difficult to share the Jesus moments in our life? We don't have to get in their faces to share them, we can share by the way we get through each day. Do we look like Christ? Do we walk like Christ? Do we act like Christ?

I will never forget one of my most recent experiences with the beautiful woman at the gas pumps sharing scripture with me. She approached and I said, yes I would love that and she began to immediately share a scripture that God had been sharing with me for months from Joshua 1:9..Have I not told you be strong, be courageous...I go with you! I knew God had a plan for me just like it tells us in Jeremiah and I trusted and stepped out in faith! Don't miss your moment and don't miss sharing it either!!!!!

Sharing,

Debbie, I think that you were open to receive what Christ had for you the day you allowed the lady to share scripture with you at the gas pump. I think that is when He comes to us, when we least expect it like at the the gas pump or at the well. I pray that I don't turn down what He has for me today.
