Mystery

On my morning walk I was thinking about the beautiful clouds that were above and I lifted a small prayer thank you God for all that we see from You our creator! Is it not true? The beautiful clouds, flowers, trees, mountains, beaches, children, other people and on and on.....God is so BIG! So Mighty and so beyond our comprehension.

The reading spoke to just this thought...Ecclesiastes 11:5 ~ Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mothers womb, so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things! Isn't this true? I love the fact that we aren't able to put God in a box. God is so much bigger than our little, small brains are able to understand and I thank God for that...I want God to be just that Big.

I think the hard part is accepting that we will not understand all things. We try to understand everything and that is part of the way God made us. Curious, Problem-Solving, want to grasp everything, want to label everything, but a huge part of believing in God is just having the faith that we will not understand it all and that we don't need to because God is in control and that is all that matters.

So as you set off for church or wherever you are headed today remember ~ Life is uncertain and I can promise you that you will not understand everything, but God does! Keep Believing and have a wonderful Sunday!

Believing,

By trying to understand everything that happens, I think I can be in control somehow. How arrogant of me! I never really thought of it in that way.

Ecclesiastes 9:14, addressed my arrogance also. It says, "No one really knows what is going to happen; no one can predict the future." Is that worrying? I think so. I realize that I have been trying to predict the future by worrying.

I pray that I can turn from my arrogant ways today and trust that The Lord is in control, not me.
